The following day after Mardi-Gras is called as Ash-Wednesday, which a beginning of the Penitential Season of lent in the Christian Churches. Penitential Season is a forty-day season, which prohibits Roman Catholics from consuming meat. Carnival in Haiti can be considered as the last opportunity for indulgence, revelry that involves drinking, music and food. Haiti Carnival initiates the holiest times of the year that further leads in abstinence and repentance. Millions of Christians from every corner of world gathers for this event to immerse in the rebirth and the prayer of forgiveness. This Carnival commences the biggest celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. |
